One of the most frequent reasons I hear, as I contact some of my more entrepreneurial friends and colleagues about Network Marketing is that they don't like the idea that someone else owns the product. Or they like the idea of creating their own brand and selling it themselves. Now by itself I find that argument perfectly fine. However its not a valid argument against MLM.
When I first started in MLM in a previous business, the people who trained me made the mistake of making the opportunity into something it wasn't. A long term business that would take care of me for the rest of my life. Its the same false premise that a whole generation of industrial workers in companies like Ford, Chrysler, and GM have found to be wrong. Companies go in and out of business all the time, that is their nature and that's not going to change. The best you can hope for is to take the money you make from your part time opportunity and invest it into ASSETS that you control.
This way when and if the company you've built a $5,000 a month business in somehow goes under, you are still in the driver's seat ready to take your organization to a new company, and all the assets you bought with the old companies money can continue to pay for your life style.
That's all this is about, MLM is a great way that everyday people can start to create a better life for themselves without the pressure of creating a business out of thin air. The cost of starting an MLM business is vastly lower than starting a traditional one. There is less to risk, more immediate possibility of gain if you are willing to work a consistent 7-10 hours per week, be coach-able, and plug into the systems available to you that will help you to grow your organization.
Then you can take the money you earn in your part time and buy assets (Apartments, houses, etc.). Then take the money you make from your assets and pay for your dreams. Its all about what you are prepared to do. So what are you prepared to do?
