I received a wonderful message this morning from a friend of mine, a very talented success coach. I thought I would share her strong words with you...Thanks Yolanda.
GUIDELINES TO MAKE THE SHIFT
Develop accurate self awareness. Know your strengths and weaknesses we all have them.
Develop an accurate self concept. Know you limitations and be honest with yourself.
Be HONEST.
Make the connection between choices and future consequences. What you think about today will effect you tomorrow. Are they positive and progressive thoughts or negative and self limiting.
Behave in a manner that is in your best interest. You can not take back words, actions or deeds so think before you react.
Become self-protective and self-determined. Protect yourself from those who say you will never make it, your crazy, you need to stop that craziness.
For them to ….
Be autonomous
Be self responsible
Be honest
Maintain integrity
To be true to oneself.
Identify core values and personal desires
Be self caring
Set boundaries.
Make conscious decisions
Reprogram your self conscious mind
The Hazard of a Paradigm Shift
Any new habit is difficult until it is a learned behavior. Make your habit part of your character.
You may experience a decrease in your sense of security and comfort level. Being uncomfortable means you are stretching your capacity.
You may experience an increase in fear or anxiety. It is natural but you believe in yourself and it will subside with each little success.
You will make mistakes. Fail forward.
Others may react negatively. You are growing and some people won't be able to understand. Love them anyway.
AFFIRMATIONS
I accept problems as challenges to my awareness and its development.
Purge myself of all shame, blame or guilt.
My current goals and objectives motivate me, so I don’t procrastinate.
I see things through to their logical conclusion.
I do not allow personal comparisons to affect my self esteem. I avoid comparing myself to others.
I accept myself totally and unconditionally.
I stand up for my opinions and convictions.
