Alone At Last

Today is the day when my daughter goes to day care for a few hours in the morning. My sons are in school all day and for these three days a week my daughter joins them in her quest for education outside the house. Being a stay at home dad and a home business builder can be trying at times to separate "work time" from "family time" but when everyone is gone it becomes clear what you should be doing.

I say should because taking care of business when you live, eat, breathe, play, and work from the house could mean a laundry list of tasks. I could do the laundry before it piles up and we have no towels or clean undies. The dishes from last night are stacked to the ceiling. I've got 5 calls to return to potential customers plus I need to make calls on new potential customers to put them in my pipeline. And on and on and on...

I'm not complaining. I can't remember who said it but, life is all about the journey and as hard as things may get, as tired as I may feel, as long as I don't give up I'll get where I want to go.
