The Best Sales Person Under 3 Feet ... My Daughter

As I went to put my 4 year old Lena into the car after day care, she asked me for a piece of candy.

I take that back, she smiled and put on her sweetest voice, batted her eyelashes and made me see how giving her a piece of candy would be the best decision I would make that day. As she stretched the word "Pleeease" like taffy, I was just amazed by her ability to use what tools she has to make what she wants happen.

So of course I told her she could have a piece of candy when we got home. I owed her that for the small lesson about perseverance and using your gifts to get what you want in life, right? Well, I smiled and told her she could have one, then without missing a beat she upped her request. "Can I have two pieces, pleeeeeease?"

All I could do was marvel at a master at work. Not only did she make me feel good about giving her a treat, she up sold me on another treat in the same breath. When you are building any kind of business, its important to remember to be as persistent as a child within sight of a treat. Use the tools in your arsenal to grow your business, and don't give up until you get what you're after.

Thank you Lena.
